Regardless of immigration status, gender, sexuality, race, ability, or religion, Summer Search stands with and for our students and their families.

We honor the identities of our community.

We lift up their stories and truths. This month, and always.

Reflecting the inclusive spirit of the Progressive Pride Flag (originally designed by Daniel Quasar in 2018 to include People of Color, trans individuals, and those living with HIV/AIDS and those who have been lost), we proudly share this special version of the Summer Search logo to honor our LGBTQIA+ community.

June is a month to reflect, to embrace, and to celebrate. Each day is an opportunity to act. Despite progress, hate and discrimination against LGBTQIA+ individuals is still an alarming reality.

The life span of Black trans womxn in America is only 35 years old. Just this week, Hungary passed a discriminatory law banning LGBTQIA+ content from minors. As of this publication [June 16, 2021], the Equality Act still awaits action in the U.S. Senate, and there are a record number of anti-LGBTQ bills in local state legislatures. Without systemic action, these kinds of disturbing headlines will continue.

We must do better.

To Summer Searchers, we’re here for you.

To those looking to take action:

We will do better.
