Josh is originally from Chicago and has been in New York for many years. He loves working with young people and aims to create a brave, wholesome space for students to show up as their full selves! Josh studied Psychology and Writing at the University of Michigan. After graduating, he did a year of service in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, serving the community and engaging with topics like racial, gender, and economic justice. His passion for social work led him to working with black and brown communities in supportive housing. Josh is currently pursuing his Masters in Social Work (MSW) at Hunter College.
Josh also loves to bake all things pastries and used to work as a baker in a Brooklyn pie shop. In his spare time, he still bakes all kinds of baked goods, loves hiking, and being outdoors. Josh’s hottest take is that Chicago has better pizza than New York.
