Sequoia National Park, CA. | This rock wasn’t very high, but I was scared to climb it. I’m terrified of heights, but something about nature continually encourages me to grow and be bold.

MY BIO:

As a child of immigrant parents, caring for others and social justice was built into Sajira’s family values. Her mother marched in the streets with the People Power Revolution in the Philippines and that same spirit and desire to make the world a better place remains at the forefront of her own life. Sajira is thrilled to join Summer Search Bay Area as the Senior Donor Relations Manager and continue an intentional career path in the nonprofit sector.

Sajira is a graduate of Azusa Pacific University where she received her master’s degree in Transformational Urban Leadership, as well as the University of California, Santa Cruz where she received her bachelor’s degree in Community Studies. She has a personal tradition of volunteer service and currently serves on the board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Silicon Valley. In her spare time, Sajira enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their two cats, attempting to cook vegetarian-friendly Filipino dishes that are just as tasty as the ones with meat, and hiking in nature to balance it all out.
