Before joining Summer Search, Ashley taught English in South Korea. In this role, she worked with high school students in a formal classroom setting and also engaged with elementary and middle school students in an after-school language program. Through these diverse experiences, she deepened her understanding of the importance of cross-cultural understanding and fostering resilience in young individuals.

As an alumna of Summer Search herself, she understands firsthand the transformative impact of having a community dedicated to personal and academic growth. Her own journey with Summer Search has fueled her dedication to empowering the next generation.

On rainy days, Ashley loves curling up with a good book, surrounded by snacks. She also enjoys exploring her neighborhood and the streets of Boston on foot. And when she’s not out and about, you can find her experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
