Fun Fact: My photo was taken near Riobamba, Ecuador on the Chimborazo volcano. The view and the altitude makes you feel really alive.

Jose is a first-generation college graduate who was born in Ecuador and then grew up in the Bay Area. He attended high school in San Francisco and then went on to Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles where he received a B.A. in Economics with a Minor in Psychology. His passion for education began in high school and was solidified after being a volunteer teacher in Quito. He has dedicated his career to education and has worked for different non-profits and schools including college access programs and higher education institutions. He believes in working along youth to empower young people to achieve their dreams.

In his free time he loves to travel, enjoy the beach, and spend time with friends and family.
