Fred Rivera is the CEO and Founder of The Rivera Group, a sports business advisory firm providing strategic and operational support for investors, operators, and professional and amateur organizations. A lawyer by trade, Fred has a 30 year track record of leading strategic and operational excellence in sports, professional services, financial institutions, and federal government agencies. He most recently served as the Executive Vice President & General Counsel for the Seattle Mariners. Prior to his role with the Mariners, he was the Managing Partner of the largest law firm office in the Pacific Northwest (Perkins Coie), and started his career as a trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice. Fred has a long history of board director service on public, private, and nonprofit boards, including Heritage Bank (NASDAQ: HFWA), Delta Dental of Washington, Association of Washington Businesses (Executive Committee), ArtsFund, and United Way of King County (Past Chair).
