Supports the naming and claiming of racial and cultural identity, being “liberated” around these identities, and understanding how identity influences others' experience of them.

The History of DMI

Over the years, we have learned an enormous amount about mentoring from our young people and our staff about what best supports them both to grow and thrive. To enhance our mission and impact, we continuously develop research-based training for staff. This training work is our Depth Mentoring Institute. This internally and externally focused learning and development program is a testament all the mentors, leaders, young people, families and funders who have shaped our work to build mentoring relationships with young people – adolescents and young adults – that support their wellbeing.
