Position: Seattle Board Member
Professional Title: Director of Fuel Supply & Operations, Alaska Airlines
Lauren is a seasoned supply chain and operations leader, with more than a decade of experience leading enterprise-wide programs and large-scale initiatives.
Most recently, Lauren led the system-wide fuel program for Alaska Air Group, with responsibility for the operational and financial performance of fuel for Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air. In this role, Lauren was accountable for the day-to-day operations of aircraft fueling as well as the supply, sourcing, cost, and distribution of a $1B+ fuel financial portfolio.
Lauren’s consistent goal is to leave a program markedly better than when she began. In this vein, she established the supply chain strategy to support scale, adoption, and integration of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) for Alaska Airlines. Lauren was elected by industry peers to serve as Vice-chair of the Sustainable Aviation Fuel Committee for Airlines for America and served as Alaska’s leadership rep for Airlines for America’s Energy Council.
Previous roles at Alaska include leading the print, freight and logistics, as well as uniform teams. Lauren oversaw a comprehensive restructure and transformation of the apparel supply chain to support Alaska’s 20,000 uniformed employees. Following a difficult trend of litigation and challenging labor relations, Lauren and her team launched an award-winning program in March of 2020.
Her leadership focuses on collaboration, efficiency and program evolution. Lauren studied English and business at Washington University in Saint Louis. She lives in Laurelhurst with her two kids (Blakely & Graham), husband (Greg) and somewhat naughty dog (Franny).
