She|Her

Position: Director of Program Partnership

Christy is a proud first-generation Haitian American and lifelong advocate whose passion for youth development began at just 14 years old. A firm believer in the African proverb, "It takes a village to raise a child," Christy has dedicated her career to empowering young people, families, and communities.

With over 15 years of experience in the nonprofit, education, and city/state-funded sectors, Christy has led, managed, and expanded programs serving diverse and underserved communities across New York City. Her expertise spans program recruitment and implementation, college and career readiness initiatives, after-school and educational programming, youth and family advocacy, and strategic community engagement.

A first-generation college graduate, Christy earned both her Bachelor of Arts (English, Minor in Education) and Master of Social Work degrees from Long Island University, with a concentration in youth, family, and community development. She is also a proud AmeriCorps alum and is SIFI (Seminar in Field Instruction) certified, reflecting her strong commitment to mentorship and professional development.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Christy enjoys spending her free time with her loved ones, traveling, cooking, attending brunches, exploring New York City's vibrant arts and cultural scene, and expressing her creativity through fashion, dance, and a deep love for the arts.

Christy's unwavering belief in the power of community, education, and opportunity continues to drive her mission: ensuring that every young person she encounters has the support, resources, and encouragement they need to thrive.
