Fun Fact: My photo is from Haleakala National Park, Maui, Hawaii. When visiting Hawaii for the first time, I was lucky to be able to enter Haleakala to witness the sunrise over the Pacific Ocean from the peak of a dormant volcano. After celebrating the occasion with a delicious cinnamon roll, we hiked down the ridge through post-dawn clouds, enjoying breathtaking ocean views on one side and overlooking lush green valleys on the other.

Theo brings to Summer Search a passion for youth development, and a commitment to equity which drives his work in development and fundraising for Summer Search Philadelphia. With more than 15 years of experience in development and operations, Theo has worked primarily in education, but also supported fundraising, marketing and business development in the healthcare and travel sectors. Most recently, he filled several development roles in a Philadelphia charter school for students who had previously become disconnected from their education.

A proud product of Los Angeles public schools for his full K-12 experience, Theo also briefly taught Special Education in Queens, NY after earning a B.A. in Political Science from Syracuse University. These educational and professional experiences have helped drive home for him the importance of providing opportunities, supports, and connections for young people to achieve success.

In his time out of the office, Theo loves to travel, hike, watch sports, and see live music as often as possible. He lives just outside of Philadelphia with his wife and their perfect cat.
