Rakuten “Dunks for Donations”

这 Warriors Community Foundation has supported Summer Search since 2014 by providing a grant, access to their facilities, and swag that we use in recruiting and appreciation gifts for our school and community partners.

This season, Rakuten (a Warriors sponsor) committed to donating $2,000 per slam dunk made by the team to the Warriors Community Foundation. As grantees, the Foundation invited Summer Search 和 Girls Inc to attend a game at the Chase Center and have representatives accept the check on behalf of all the grantees during an on-court presentation.

The Foundation also provided Summer Search with tickets for our staff (mostly mentors) to attend the game and the shoot-around warmup. Rakuten also invited Ursulina to sit court-side and visit their box!
