Sugarsuren, or Sugar for short, is a Co-chair of the Bay Area Associate Board and a member of the Associate Board’s Culture and Events sub-committee. Sugar joined the Associate Board in 2017.

He is an alumnus of Summer Search Seattle, where he honed his confidence and skills to thrive in the wilderness of Blue Ridge Mountains (his first Summer Search trip) and awakened a passion to serve communities beyond borders while building cultural bridges at an orphanage in Costa Rica (his second Summer Search trip).

As an immigrant from Mongolia, Sugar is passionate about championing economic mobility and post-secondary access for underserved youths in the Bay Area. He is a Senior Associate at Blue Wood Capital LLC and has a B.A. from Whitman College.
