Skai is extremely passionate about student access and advocacy, ensuring youth have the tools to express their interests and identities authentically. Skai graduated from Allegheny College with a BA in Communications and a minor in education in May 2023. While at Allegheny, Skai was the president of the Association of Caribbean Students (ACS) for two academic years, a member of the global citizens scholars, as well as a Culture Identity Leadership Coalition (CILC) board member cohort for four years. During undergrad, Skai tutored and co-taught grades 6-8th at a Montessori school in rural PA as well as mentoring high school juniors and seniors in a NY based program called Learn and Earn. Although Skai was born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti and later moved to Orlando FL, she mostly grew up in Lawrenceville, GA. Despite moving around various states during childhood and early adulthood, Skai has had a unique experience when it comes to how  her environment changed and shaped certain ideologies and have positively affected her understanding and reach when it comes to mentoring youth. Outside of work, Skai enjoys reading, baking, crocheting, and watching mystery films.
