Impact on Boston Communities
At Summer Search Boston, we:

Provide 440 high school students from Boston, Malden, Chelsea, Cambridge, and Everett with professional mentoring and transformational summer experiences.
Provide 645 post-secondary students with on-going support in navigating all aspects of college life, career coaching, and internship placement.

Have 1,098 incredible alumni in our network thriving in school, work, and life.

Land Acknowledgement
Summer Search Boston's office resides on the unceded land of the Pawtucket and Massa-adchu-es-et (Massachusett) peoples, past and present. We honor with gratitude the land itself, and the people who have stewarded it throughout the generations.
We recognize this as just one step in acknowledging the history of forced removal of indigenous people from their land and our work toward racial justice.
We ask you to join us in acknowledging the Pawtucket and Massa-adchu-es-et communities, their elders both past and present, as well as future generations.

Our school and community partners are the behind-the-scenes heroes and the starting place for every Summer Search journey. They introduce us to students who demonstrate self-reflection, agency, empathy, follow-through, and adaptive skills — the seeds for success in school and life — which are cultivated throughout our program.

Our Boston School & Community Partners

JOIN OUR VOLUNTEER LEADERSHIP
There are many groups that are active in working to advance our mission for Summer Search Boston: Board of Directors, Leadership Council, the Summer Search Alumni Board and the Associate Board (Young Professionals).

PARTICIPATE ON AN EVENT COMMITTEE
We rely on our committees to help us execute thoughtful and successful events. Events currently include the Boston Business Leaders Breakfast (fall) and the Leadership Dinner (spring).

VOLUNTEER AS A CAREER COACH
Our Career Coach program offers the opportunity for experienced, professional volunteers to work directly with Summer Searchers by supporting their career exploration and helping them develop the hard and soft skills required to secure an internship or job.

PROVIDE IN-KIND EXPERTISE & NEEDS BASED PROJECTS
Volunteers are essential in helping us complete projects beyond our reach. Provide your vital skills to Summer Search in your field of expertise for specific projects or needs.

BECOME AN ANNUAL DONOR
Our work would not be possible without the support of our generous community of donors. Your annual gifts enable us to continue this work and provide professional mentoring and summer experiences to more and more students each year.

INTRODUCE US TO YOUR NETWORK
As our program grows, so must our community of support! Host a table at our Leadership Dinner or your own cocktail party. Introducing us to your network is an invaluable chance for us to meet friends as driven to support students as we are.
