The following is a message from Dr. Marc Spencer, Summer Search CEO.

Dear Summer Search Community,

Earlier today, a mob stormed the Capitol in Washington, D.C. and delayed the certification of Joe Biden's victory in November's election. As the President-Elect said, "Our democracy is under assault."

Summer Search is a community that is committed to social justice. In that way, this violent effort to disenfranchise millions of Americans directly impacts our staff, students, and school community. We acknowledge the distraction, anxiety, and frustration.

Our local and national leadership is creating space for our students and staff to offer support in addressing and processing these shocking events. As always, we stand with and for our students and families regardless of immigration status, gender, sexuality, race, ability, or religion.
