Saturday, August 5: Alumni Summit & Leadership Conference

• Location: Southline Boston.
• Time: 8:30am – 5pm ET.

We have an incredible day planned to Reconnect, Rediscover, and Reignite with each other. With breakout sessions ranging from professional panels and career insights on the Future of Work, to wellness workshops and self defense classes, the Alumni Summit & Leadership Conference is your chance to learn hard and soft leadership skills and engage your whole self along with your Summer Search peers. Then, stick around for the afterparty!

Sunday, August 6: Alumni Awards Celebration Brunch

Segun Idowu

Chief of Economic Opportunity and Inclusion, City of Boston

Recognized by Boston Magazine as one of the “100 Most Influential People in the City of Boston,” Segun Idowu is a lifelong Boston resident and product of Boston Public Schools. A Morehouse College graduate, Segun is determined to make his city better for all Bostonians.

In previous roles, he shepherded key pieces of state legislation as the President and CEO of the Black Economic Council of Massachusetts, Inc., and in 2019, Segun joined the board of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).

In his current role as the Wu Administration’s Chief of Economic Opportunity and Inclusion, Segun’s seeks to make Boston a resilient, and vibrant city by centering people and creating opportunities for all communities to build generational wealth.
