For master of ceremonies, Yusuf, who is applying to medical school and plans to work with patients suffering from dementia, Summer Search had a profound effect on his trajectory, from apathetic student to a Summa Cum Laude graduate of UC. He sums it beautifully in his speech:

"Summer Search made me accountable, gave me opportunities, and at each pivotal moment listened instead of judged. Summer Search has shown me (and the rest of the world) that income does not equal outcome."

We hope you’ll consider becoming part of our Sophomore Class Scholarship Fund, and help us touch the lives of even more deserving young people, like Yusuf and Mattie.
