Welcome to Summer Search New York City where change has begun for over 200 students in our community since 2003!

• Summer Search Alumna Delvina Smith ’05 was recently featured on her alma mater Hobart and William Smith’s website as part of their “Young Alums” stories. Read More about her experiences here.
• Over 350 members of our community, including students, families, supporters and referral partners came together at the Summer Search Send-Off in May. The night celebrated the accomplishments and transitions for all of our students through student skits, speeches, poetry and slideshows. View the senior slideshow here.
• Summer Search New York City held its 3rd Annual Leadership Gala on March 9, 2010 at Cipriani 42nd Street.
  With over 500 attendees, the night raised nearly $600,000!

• The Young Leadership Committee held its 6th Annual Cocktail and Silent Auction on September 29th, 2009 at Midtown Loft with over 200 attendees and 50 Summer Search students. Read more >
• Former Summer Search NYC Board Member and Summer Search San Francisco Alumnus Robert Reffkin '97 was featured in an article in the Style Section of the NY Times for his work with an upcoming charter school in the Bronx.
• Summer Search NYC Executive Director interviewed on NPR
  Karina Kirsch, Executive Director of Summer Search NYC, was interviewed on the Faith Middleton Show on WNPR (Connecticut Public Broadcasting Network) on November 18.

• Thank you to Direct Access Partners for welcoming 10 Summer Search Sophomores and Juniors to visit their office on Wall Street and for a tour of the New York Stock Exchange! The students had a chance to see a live trading desk in full action and to learn about how the stock market works.View photos of the day here.
• The affinity group, Latinos@Weil of the law firm Weil Gotshal & Manges, along with staff from KPMG, hosted over 20 high school and college students for a career panel and many energetic rounds of speed networking! Thank you to the 20 volunteers from the two firms who shared stories of their career paths and gave their time to our students.  Click here for photos.
